"A hipster ballet company called gloATL seized the
Woodruff Arts Center plaza over the weekend,
fusing classically modern dance with the funky
groove of Outkast. The site-specific event, called
"rapt," felt like a cultural watershed moment
for Atlanta."

Stallings and gloATL artists Danny Ryan and Nicole
Johnson recently completed the shoot of a music
video with emerging artist Heather Johnson.
Titled "Destination," this is the artists first music video, which will debut in Japan come fall.
Stallings and artists of gloATL have been commissioned
for a 30 minute work in NYC's acclaimed festival,
Wave Rising. The new work will have its premiere during the Festival's 3 week run, October 21-November 8th. Stallings is one of 15 dancemakers from the US and Europe to be commissioned.
The untitled work will include a cast of 7 dancers,
and incorporate def poetry and multi-media.

Paloma Herrara, and Paloma's role
in Stallings' "Citizen," the creation made for
ABT in their fall 2008 home season.
Stallings is one of four Dancemakers to be
nominated for the
Prix Benois de la Danse 2009.
The highest honors in the dance world, the
Benois is held once a year to
recognize excellence in choreography,
performance, and design, in the dance profession.
Stallings is nominated for "big," the artistic
collaboration with world Hip Hop Artist Big Boi of OUKast, and the Atlanta Ballet.
The 2009 Gala will take place in June 2009, in
Italy.
Stallings has been invited to create a new work
for the MOVent Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. The work will be created in residence with performers of gloATL and members of the Vancouver dance community, and will premiere January 2010.
DMAC has commissioned Stallings to create a new work. The work will be performed as part of Duo
Multicultural Arts Centre's 2nd season in
engaging new choreography at their East Village Playhouse in New York City.
The new work entitled "unearthed," will be
performed by gloATL June 10-12th.
